The cliff at Palos Verdes. A hole slid into the Pacific. They built it again.

Ocean Trails opened in 1999. That June, a fairway on the 18th went down the bluff. The club rebuilt, reopened as Trump National in 2006, and kept the Pacific as the water hazard nobody designed. Bunker Line and the dusk flags in this collection are that ground — Catalina on a clear day, marine layer when it isn’t, bunkers cut into the edge of the continent.
